The child was a schoolgirl up to her third class. After this the family migrated from Srikakulam to Vijayawada and the child was put to work in the house of one Gopalakrishna. Her father went to work as a construction worker daily in the morning and the girl used to go to school. Resenting this, the hosts met the head master of the school and got the girl to drop out.
The matter was brought up by the head master before the ARD team, who followed up the matter for about a month and informed the Labor Department. Although the fine was not paid the girl was rescued and produced to cwc referred girl to Navajeevan Home
